This website has been largely self-funded. But after an increase in traffic, our web service has demanded a fee increase. We need to employ help to migrate.
Until now, the Cape Independent has been a cheap and affordable project. But as our reach has increased, our web service provider has increased our monthly fees, and it is no longer in our little budget.
We will be filling some of the gap with sponsored content, but we also cannot afford for our web page to become stuffed with what amount to advertisements.
To this end we are asking for your help. We need only R15 000 at the moment (roughly $800), to pay for a web developer to help us migrate to a cheaper platform.
